World AIDS Day 2022

Sponsored by The Lyric Theatre & Cultural Arts Center and Bluegrass Black Pride, with free testing provided by Kentucky Income Reinvestmet Program, the special Celebration of Life will feature performances by several talented artists from the Bluegrass and a special visitor from the Office of the Lexington, KY Mayor. The Lyric Theatre & Cultural Arts Center Gallery will host an exhibit featuring curated blocks from the NAMES Project Foundation AIDS Memorial Quilt, November 18-December 3 (the Lyric Gallery will be closed November 24-27). Please register online for attendance as seating availability will be determined by capacity limitations. This is a FREE EVENT but there are opportunities to support The Lyric Theatre and our free program initiatives by making a ticket purchase or a substantial donation if your heart so desires. We thank you in advance for your kind gesture of generosity. The quilt is presented in partnership by The Lyric Theatre, Bluegrass Black Pride, Gilead, Vivent Health, and the National Aids Memorial. Visitors are not allowed touch the exhibit pieces and MUST remain approximately 2 feet away from the display pieces per the regulations and guidelines as required for rental of the exhibit blocks for displaying in The Lyric Theatre & Cultural Arts Center gallery. Food, beverages, chewing gum, or tobacco products ARE NOT ALLOWED inside the gallery. We look forward to your visit!
